Theodore J. Weiss is a filmmaker, journalist, and executive strategist specializing in social documentary production. A graduate of Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, his piece “Before It’s Gone” documented the race to preserve cultural heritage threatened by regional conflict and won the Morton Mintz Prize for Comparative International Journalism. His short documentary “Hidden Costs,” which investigates labor exploitation and safety challenges faced by NYC delivery workers, will be showcased at New York Law School.

Through Next Thing Media, he provides media assets for mission-driven organizations supporting causes ranging from environmentalism to youth access. For Arete Prep, he designed and taught courses in visual media and storytelling.

Formerly the Director of Operations at The Cohen Group and Chief of Staff to former U.S. Secretary of Defense William Cohen, Teddy brings extensive leadership experience in international advisory operations, strategic communications, and executive management. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with honors from Williams College.
