AJ Ernst, our Lead Facilitator, is in New York for UNGA week as a member of Diplomatic Courier's Expert Network. On Monday he joins the Education Futures Forum at Signals House, a closed-door working session defining the "New Foundational Literacies" young people need (civic, AI, scientific and systems thinking, alongside reading and math) and how to finance them at scale, with the group's conclusions carried to Davos in 2027. That afternoon he attends the Philanthropy Futures Forum, where foundation leaders and impact investors work on how the sector can coordinate rather than fragment. The day closes with the Diplomatic Soirée, marking Diplomatic Courier's twentieth anniversary and the launch of founder Ana Carcani Rold's book, Everyone's Business: Two Decades of Diplomacy Beyond the Corridors.

• Education Futures Forum, 11:00–1:30. Closed-door working lunch defining the "New Foundational Literacies" (civic, AI, scientific/systems thinking, plus protecting reading and math) and how to finance them. Output is a statement that goes into a brief for Davos 2027.

• Philanthropy Futures Forum, 2:00–4:00. Foundation leaders and impact investors on building coordination infrastructure for the sector. Also produces a framework for Davos.

• Diplomatic Soirée, 7:00–10:00. Diplomatic Courier's 20th anniversary, Ana Carcani Rold's book launch, and an award to George Papandreou.
